Well months have come and gone and i have not blogged. i'm not sure why i haven't but i have decided i need to blog an important milestone in Addy's life. On November 11, 2011 my baby girl turned 4! People were saying that 11-11-11 was a lucky day and i have to agree.

we decided to have a family day on friday. she woke up to presents and decor courtesy of mom and dad more dad though. she got some dress up and some other things. all in all a success.

hunter was an excellent sidekick as always.

Belle's dress was her favorite gift and had to try it on immediately.

she got to choose where she wanted to go for lunch and she chose Wendy's. so to make it even more special then that we let her eat inside. she thought she was luckiest person in the world. it was fun to just hang out and spend the whole day together. after lunch we went to target to spend her birthday bucks.

Saturday the next day we had all the family up to celebrate. she was spoiled with love and gifts. thanks to everyone who came it was so nice to have you all there.

to make the weekend even more special on sunday she had her first primary program. she did amazing! grandparents and family came to support again. she and hunter were so cute they kept waving and smiling at each other. i was a very proud mom. i cant believe how grown up she looked up there saying her part and singing.

my sweet hunter boy turned one today! i can not believe that it has been a year. he has been such a blessing in our lives. he is such a boy! loves everything outside especially if its in the dirt! he loves to play and watch movies with sister. we are so in love with him and so grateful that he is our hunte boy.

hunter boy turned 9 months and i know that i'm behind because he is going to be ten months tomorrow but i thought i should document it.

he grew just a little since he was six months.

i think with all the moving he does its keeping him trim

he is so active and is into everything! his favorite spots are the ones he shouldn't be like the bathroom and kitchen.

he loves his sister and wants to do everything she is doing. it is so fun to see them play together hopefully it stays that way.

he is so funny and i love seeing his personality. he growls and whispers his gibberish. addy and casey make him laugh so hard.

he loves being outside and playing in the grass. he is such a boy. i look away for a second and when i turn back he has a stick in his mouth and going for another one. he is so curious. i love watching him figure things out. he loves to read and watch elmo with his sister. im so grateful im his mom

we were lucky this year and started our easter celebration a couple weeks early. we went down to oak city and spent a weekend with the grandparents and the lowe family.

addy had a blast. she loves visiting her grandparents and cousins. plus there was egg hunts and tons of candy what else could a girl want.

the day before easter we went to my grandpas for the durfey egg hunt. she was in heaven again. she ran around so excited to find anything and everything.

hunter loves his aunt steph. he found one egg and that was enough for him.

easter morning was eventful and fun. she woke up and came into our room to wake us up and we didn't move so she went into the family room because steph and sean slept over. when she walked in to the room she saw her basket and yelled " the easter bunny came... the easter bunny came" it woke everyone but she was so excited.

i just wanted to document the blood, sweat and tears it takes to get a picture of both kids.
and sadly these were as good as they got.

we went to my moms for dinner and addy got to spend time outside. she loves to swing and jump on the trampoline. sean hid some eggs for her to find and of course she loved it.

we did some things a little backwards but we are ok with it. addy dyed eggs with grandpa and loved it. she doesn't have the patience but she made some pretty unique eggs.

all in all we had a great easter and feel very blessed that we were able to spend it with family. i'm grateful for my savior and that i know he lives and that i get to share that message with my kids. i love to hear what addy learned at church and hear her sing primary songs. im very blessed.

a few weeks ago when we had warm weather we took advantage of it. we were outside as much as possible. we had a picnic at the park and flew kites.

addy loved it she ran around like crazy and loved flying her very own kite.

hunter enjoyed it to. he wanted to eat everything!

conference

conference was good this year. i just wanted to show how my kids enjoyed it. addy loved seeing the prophet. every time he came on the TV she would run and yell mom the prophet.

hunter loves to pull addy's hair and he wanted to show off his new skill of pulling himself up.

hunter has been growing like crazy and doing so many new things. here are few things that have happened.

hunter got his first buzz hair cut a couple weeks ago. this is the before and after shot. he had some crazy long hair on top.

he loves to stand so he is now the proud owner of a walker. for the most part he likes it but he will always prefer being held. this is more for his mom who needs a break once in awhile.

` this is just a cute pic of him acting like he is a big boy on sisters bike. some of his other accomplishments are that he can sit up, roll around everywhere and he pull himself up onto his knees. he tries to crawl but he just face plants it. its pretty funny.

valentines day turned out perfect this year. we had family time. i made love pancakes for breakfast and gave addy her valentines. then when casey got home we had dinner as a family. addy told him we made love tacos. ha ha i love my family so much and so grateful that they are mine

Handsome Hunter turned six months this week. i can not believe that he is that old. here are his stats from his Dr's appointment.

weight: 16lbs. 1oz.

height: 26 in.

he is perfect in every way. he is so smart and has figured out how to do a lot of things. addy likes to call them his tricks. he can roll over from front to back and from back to front. he can almost sit up by himself but his balance is not quite there yet. he likes to pull his binky out and then put it back in or bite it. he is liking his rice cereal for now but i thinking he is ready for big boy food. we are so lucky to have him in our family. we call him our smiley guy. he always has a smile on his face and laughing. we are very blessed!

christmas eve
every year for christmas eve we go to my grandpas for food and the kids do the nativity. addy decided she was going to be an angel this year. hunter was baby jesus. he was so calm and cute the whole time.

so for christmas morning we decided to do it at our house. it was perfect. santa did so good! we then went to my moms so we could talk to my brother who is on a mission. it was really good to hear from him. after that we went to my grandpas and then we left for oak city to see caseys family. we were all spoiled and had a lot of fun seeing our families.

addy was checking to make sure santa ate his snacks. a week before christmas i asked her if she wanted to leave cookies for santa. she broke down crying. she told me she didn't want to give her cookies to him. so i asked what we should leave for him. without hesitation she said we should leave him a sandwich. not just any sandwich it had to be a peanut butter and jelly one. ha ha

so i was a bit of a slacker this year! i don't even have a good excuse for not doing christmas cards. i had the picture and everything i just didn't so here are some pics i would have used if i had done one. so merry christmas to all!

i love christmas and everything that comes with it. i love sharing things with addy that i did as a little girl. every year we make gingerbread houses. this year it was interesting with addy the little helper. i think she ate her weight in candy. it took hours to get her to go to sleep but she loved it.

another favorite christmas tradition is going up to temple square to see the lights. i love this one but i was a little worried how it was going to work with addy and hunter. i was right to be worried. we decided to take trax. addy loved it! she just kept saying chugga chugga choo choo the whole way up.

but sweet hunter decided to cry/ scream the whole time. poor people who sat by us. oh well we made it up there and the min. we got there hunter fell asleep.

addy loved the nativity and the lights and besides one tantrum about going potty it was a success. it was really pretty and the weather was so nice.

hunter woke up at the end and he loved the lights too. his eyes were so big taking it all in. i am so blessed i get to do this with my sweet family.

well i had another birthday. i turned 26 this year. i don't know how i feel about it but when i look at the blessings i have and all that i have in my life i can't feel too bad that i am becoming an old lady. i have an amazing husband and two wonderful kids. life is good even if im feeling old.

also sweet hunter turned 4 months. we have had a busy month. hunter and addy went in for there wellness check ups together. they are both growing and are very healthy.

i think we can say that the birthday was a success. when she woke up this is what she found. my sweet sister in law helped me make this sign for her. she loved it! i have to confess it is still hanging up. addy wants to leave it up for my birthday that is in a week.

she insisted on dressing up for the day. what a girl!

i made cupcakes for her again. they have princess crowns in them. i think they turned out ok. she put the crowns in because she loves to help whenever i cook.

addy and cousin brooklyn blowing out candles. addy was really sweet and asked brooklyn to help her and help open her gifts. the sweetness lasted a little bit and then they both wanted to play with all the toys. they love each other though.

as i sat with addy tonight i started thinking about the night before i had her. i was so nervous for the labor part but so excited to meet my little girl! i couldn't sleep that night i was so excited i just kept wondering what she would look like and how she would act. i can not believe it has been three years since i had my addilyn ann finlinson. i don't want to be that crazy mom that doesn't want her babies to grow but i have to admit part of me wants her to stop and the other part of me can't wait to see who she becomes. i have no doubt that she will be amazing. when i was going through her baby pictures it took me back to the minute i met her. i fell in love with her the second i saw her. she had a fuzzy cone head and then those huge blue eyes. i think there is a special bond between a mother and her first baby. i see it with my mom and my brother and with casey and his mom. i think it has to do with that they are the special spirit that gives you the blessing of motherhood. you learn with them and they teach you incredible things. sorry I'm rambling but i feel humbled for the opportunity to be a mother and that i was blessed with two incredible babies. anyway we are smitten with addy and can not get enough of her! she is so smart and so creative. she amazes me on a daily basis good and bad. :) princess we love you and hope you have an awesome birthday!

we had a pretty great Halloween this year. addy was Cinderella which was a perfect fit for her. she loved her dress i wish it just stayed on the whole night. she wore it in five min intervals but she is still cute. our sweet hunter was supposed to be the prince. he had a onesie that said the prince had arrived but right before we left he spit up all over it. luckily we had a back up and he became Popeye. i think my favorite moment was when me and addy were headed up to a door and she handed me her pumpkin and said mom you say trick or treat. i laughed and then forced her to do it like the good mom i am.

so my sweet baby boy is three months. i can not believe how fast it has gone by. it feels like i just had him yesterday. i feel very blessed to be his mom. he has such a sweet spirit and he puts up with a lot from a certain big sister. he is such a strong baby. he loves to stand as much as possible he has even rolled over one way. well he rolled over like a month ago I'm just not good at posting. he has the best smile and little laugh. his new favorite thing is to suck on his hands. we love him so much and feel blessed that he is a part of our crazy family.

well i couldn't leave miss addilyn out. she has so much personality and is so silly. she makes me laugh so much lately. when I'm telling a story about her to someone she always jumps in to help clarify it and loves to laugh at herself. she is so girly and loves everything princess. she is very excited for halloween. she loves herself some tv but i think her favorite thing about it is the commercials. every time one comes on that is a toy she tells me she needs it. so her christmas and birthday list is getting longer by the day. i think we should be done with tv. i will never be able to get her everything she wants. i love the age is at. it makes my life very entertaining.

we had so much fun at the zoo. it was a big success. i was a little nervous taking addy and hunter but they both were so good especially hunter he slept the whole time! we went with tyler, shayla, booklyn, and baby boston. addy loves to share these adventures with her cousin brooklyn. addy was so excited to see the bears and penguins and of course that is where they were remodeling. so if you go to the zoo don't expect to see these animals. luckily she is easily distracted.

casey turned 29 this week. we started of the celebrating last saturday when he spent the day golfing and attending the byu game. i think it was his perfect day. then on sunday i made him dinner and some delicious cupcakes. addy of course helped by licking and eating them as we went. monday he had off for labor day so we played and went to the family bbq. finally tuesday was the official birthday. i asked him what he wanted to do and mini golf was the answer. we headed to trafalga and spent some quality time together. addy had a blast. she did not want to come home. after four days of celebrating i think he had a pretty great birthday. we love you casey!

we have been very blessed lately with new additions to our families. we got two nephews in a two week period. casey's brother and wife had baby boston two weeks after hunter was born. he is growing like a weed and looked so much like his sister brooklyn when he was born.

i didn't do very good this year of taking pics but i did take a few at the parade. we had a great time though. oak city never disappoints.we got to spend time with family and great friends. it was a little different with two kids but they both did really well and i'm glad that we were able to go.

we are in love with baby brother hunter. that is what addy calls him. she loves him so much and sometimes a little too much. he is doing so well. he is gaining weight like a champ and his jaundice has cleared up thank heavens. we are adjusting to having two kids as best as we can. its funny how addy needs mom right when hunter needs me but i would never change it. here are some pictures i have taken of these two crazy kids.

we were able to take addy to another rodeo this year. we went to the days of 47 rodeo. addy loved it again. it always amazes me how interested and excited she gets when we go. she wants to know about everything and what everything is. casey took her to look at the cowboy hats and other souvenirs. she found a pink hat and would not stop talking about it. casey of course can not say no to her so she got herself a new hat. she could not be more thrilled with it either. i was so happy that we ended up going that night because little did we know that a few days later we would get a baby brother surprise.

well we got an amazing surprise on saturday night. after an eventful day of being at the hospital to welcome my brothers baby.. ritter durfey then heading to my grandpas for some pioneer day fun i was hit with a gush of liquid. so that probably was a little much but to be honest i didn't know what was going on at first. i rode home in the car thinking i just had peed my pants. you know one of the perks of being pregnant well when it wouldn't stop we packed up the family and headed to the hospital. then at 6:11 the next morning on july 25th hunter came screaming into the world. he was exactly 3 weeks early. he weighed 5lbs and 10oz and his length was 17 inches. we are in love with him especially his big sister that can not get enough of him. he has a case of jaundice so he has been laying in his tanning bed for the past couple of days. we are over it but know it is best for him.

we had so much fun this past weekend celebrating the 4th of july. we went to the parade in delta and then played at the finlinson house until it was time for the demolition derby that night.

addy loved the parade and got so much candy from it.

they did fireworks at the end of the derby and she was a little nervous.

last weekend we went to the strawberry days rodeo. we had so much fun. addy was so excited that she was cheering the tractor on at the first. we loved the buckin bulls and and the baby cows. she is so friendly when we go out. she made friends with all the teenagers behind us. when we were leaving she told me she needed to say bye to her friends. it was so fun and i loved being able to take addy to something i loved.

i think its pretty safe to say that addy is a daddy's girl. most of the time she prefers him over me. i'm ok with it though because i think i would pick him too. he is an amazing dad! she can't wait til he gets home from work and then she doesn't leave his side for awhile. i feel so blessed to have him in my life and that i get to see him in his best role as a daddy. the other day addy was playing dress up and she went up to casey and said "dad you the prince and i cinderella". then they danced around the living room for a bit. i hope he had a great day cause we sure wanted to make him feel like the prince. we love him so much!

we went to the annual lowe family camp out this weekend. this is casey's mom side of the family. we had some good times. addy loved every minute of it. she got to play (wear out) everyone she could. i think her favorite part was throwing the stick in the river and watching it float away:)

this is how you celebrate your wedding anniversary if you are 6 1/2 months pregnant and you have a two year old. first we went to jcw's to get hamburgers and fries and then you have a picnic in your living room. it was actually fun and some good family time. we have been trying to show addy that there are other movies besides cinderella so we watched peter pan too. she ended up liking it but after it was done she asked to watch cinderella. she is too funny.

today is our four year anniversary! i can not believe that it has gone by so fast and at the same time it feels like we have been together longer ( in a good way of course). i love casey so much and i am so grateful for all he does. he is the best dad to addy and i'm sure he can't wait for our little boy to come so he can have a break from cinderella. a few weeks ago we went to California for my sisters cheer competition. well that was our excuse to go for Disneyland. casey decided not to go so we tagged along with my mom. we had so much fun when we got there but i think i will stick to flying. driving is not for me!

Addy has so many favorite things but one that is at the top of her list is helping in the kitchen. she loves the weekends when grandma is home in the morning to make breakfast with her. she always says mix a mix. she is excellent at stirring everything and anything that is put in front of her. i just loved these pics of her all dressed up ready to go.

we spent Christmas eve at my grandpa's house this year. the little kids do the nativity and so addy was angel. she was a sad angel but the show went on. then they got to break a pinata. i don't have any good pics of this because addy wimped out and didn't want to hit it. it figures the one time destruction is permitted she backs down. oh well maybe next year.

and then came our Christmas morning. we were excited to see addy's reaction to her gifts and she did not disappoint. this was her expression every time she opened something. it was so much fun to watch. Christmas is so much better when you have kids. we had a great year and feel very blessed!

i love this time of year. its about traditions and spending time with family. one of our traditions is we make gingerbread houses. its my attempt to be crafty. we made little ones and big ones this year. i think they turned out pretty cute. addy liked them and she really liked the candy she ate as we went. don't look too close. they should be admired from a far. ha ha

so its true i had a birthday! i think i'm officially old. i'm 25! i know that sounds funny but when i was little i always thought 25 was so old. well here i am. i had a great day of being a mom and getting ready for thanksgiving since we were leaving the next day. i loved spending the day with addy and then getting to see my family. i love and appreciate them so much.

my birthday is this week so casey and i went away for the weekend. we didn't go far but we left addy with my parents and hit the road. we stayed in sandy for a couple of nights and we got to go to new moon. that was my present is having him go with me and not making too many comments. he did pretty good but there were some crazy people there pushing him over the edge. i liked the movie and the break. we had a pretty great time.

sister steph went on her first date last weekend. i don't have any pictures of the date because it was girls choice and she wouldn't let me follow her to get them. i can't blame her i'm a little embarrassing. anyway she looked really pretty and we had fun helping her.

this was another day but i thought it went with the theme. my friend ashley sent these shoes to her for her b-day. she insisted she had to wear them the min. they were opened. she is too cute!

so my baby turns 2 tomorrow. i didn't realize how hard it is to see your baby grow up. its hitting me hard! but on to happier moments. we decided to do a family party for her on sunday. of course everything was elmo. that is her favorite thing right now. i think we watch at least a hour and half of elmo each day. all the fam came and it went really well. she was so excited to see everyone in the same house. especially cousin brooklyn. they had so much fun and they played so hard they were sweatin by the end.

This is just another day in the life of addilyn ann. She got this stroller the other day and it has become her favorite. it has been the best eight dollars i have ever spent. she makes me take it everywhere with us but it has been hours of fun and enjoyment. she says its my strolly! it is so sweet.

i think she was throwing a fit at this moment because she wanted to play in the road!

we had a great halloween. we went to the costume parade on friday to see sean all dressed up. addy loved seeing the non scary costumes and closed her eyes when it was too scary.

on sat. cousin brooklyn came over to play. they had so much fun and they did not want to stop. it was a tragic goodbye. ha ha

then tragedy hit later right before we were supposed to go trick or treating. addy fell asleep and did not want to wake up.

casey and addy carved her pumpkin tonight. she loved it. she was all up in it and had it everywhere. i love that she is big enough now to know what is going on and wanting to participate.

we also had our first snow today. addy insisted she had to play in the snow! so we went out for a few minutes. i love the first snow but i still would like to keep the fall weather as long as possible.

addy is napping right now and so i have a moment to just think. i have been thinking about how blessed i really am. sometimes i don't realize what i have. i focus on the negative things like i with i had this or i wish i was like that person. but when i start listing the things i am blessed with its overwhelming. i have an amazing family and i married in to an amazing family. i have understanding friends that i can always be myself with them. i have the gospel in my life and i have a heavenly father that loves me. my husband is a saint! i love him so much and he means everything to me and he is a great example to me. he worked so hard on getting a job and i know the lord wanted him where he is now. my sweet addy is my joy. she is so smart and is such a big girl now. she blows me away and i feel very blessed that i am able to be a mother. i am happy and very blessed! i know this is random but i'm a random person.

we took addy to the zoo last week. casey had the day off so it worked out perfect. addy had so much fun. every animal we looked at had a baby. addy loved them the most everything was about the babies. her favorites were the baby elephant and the she loved the swans. i know its a little random but she is my daughter :)

So we have been busy having lots of fun here are some of the things we have been up to.

we decided to take the kids to thanksgiving points farm country. this is addy and sean in the little county jail they have there. addy likes it cause it is just her size to play in.

addy fed the goats with her dads help of course. i was so happy she did because she gets a little scared around animals even though she loves them. i still can't talk her into riding the ponies yet.

we have been playing dress-up. her aunt steph gave her some fairy wings. she was posing for the camera so i really like this one.

we got to go walking with our friend brayden. they were liking each other. they even kissed goodbye. it was really cute!

Pioneer Day

We had a great 24th of july. we went to a park that had a stream running through it so addy had a blast in the freezing cold water. casey had to get out because it was so cold and addy got mad because she wanted to stay in. she knows what she wants thats for sure. then we went over to my grandpas house for a bbq and some fireworks. addy liked them for the most part. all she would say is whoa!

so last night was our kenny concert! it was so fun. we got there at 5:30 so if i look sweaty and rough its because i was out in the sun the whole time:) lady antebellum went first and they were really good and then miranda lambert went. Kenny came on last and did some of his old songs and newer ones. I loved all of them! we had some great drunks around us who really knew how to party. we had a great time. thanks to amanda and steph for coming with me.

last weekend we went down to nephi with my brother jeff and his wife amanda for the rodeo. casey and i have been going for a few years now and we love it. this was our second year taking addy and this year she loved it. her favorite part is when they let a mommy horse and her baby run around the arena. after that she just kept saying baby baby. its so fun to take her to these things now because she understands and pays attention more. she got tired when it was the bull riding so every time the crowd would cheer she would clap in her sleep. we had so much fun!

Goodbye Elder Durfey

On wed. my brother kendall left for the mtc. We didn't get to drop him off like normal because of the new policy. So that morning we went to breakfast and then said our goodbyes. It was weird and sad. It didn't feel like it was really goodbye. But when we got home it set in. We are very proud of him and are so happy. He will stay in the mtc for three weeks and then he will leave for texas.

My mom's family had there family reunion in new mexico at my aunt Melanie's house. We had a great time and it was so pretty there. They have lots of animals so addy was in heaven! She loved the goats and she followed the chickens around. They have a tiny kitten and she would copycat what the kitten would do. She would crawl and roll onto her back. She has such a sassy personality and she will let you know what is what. We had a great weekend!

Last weekend we went to the pg rodeo. we were going to take addy with us but the weather was crazy so we left her home.Then when we got there and it cleared up so we were a little sad but we got a date out of it so it wasn't too bad. I love rodeos so i hope we will be able to go to some more.

as this week came and went i sit here amazed at what has happened. it has not been the best week for the finlinson's but still we are here livin. i am sad to report that casey's dog buck has gone on to doggy heaven. this was unexpected and very heart breaking for casey. he got him after his mission and loved him very much. we are thankful for casey's family for taking care of him. on to more depressing news...casey was laid-off this week as well. we are not too shocked since work was extremely slow but still sad about the situation. i sit here tonight nervous and scared as the unknown approaches are family. if anyone knows me i like plans and i'm not a fan of change. my husband is amazing and i have total faith in him and i'm so grateful for his strength. as this trial has come i can't help but notice the blessings we have been given. when we moved in with my parents we had two goals to get out of debt and buy a house. we have paid off all our debts and the next goal was the house but nothing seemed to work out with that. then work started to get slow so we put it off more. now i realize that we were not supposed to get it yet. we would have been in a very bad situation if we would have bought a home. there are other things that have happened that i didn't understand til now but i am so grateful for my father in heaven and the blessings i keep receiving. sorry about the rambling but it was a good rant for me. we are going to keep smiling and with a funny baby girl it won't be too hard. wish us luck with this new adventure we are starting.:)

Friday

we started off by going to my cousin ashly's wedding. she got married in the draper temple. it was beautiful. then we helped with the reception so it turned out to be a very long day but everything turned out well. it was great to see all the family and spend time with them.

but the most important thing about friday was that it was my moms birthday. so i was glad that we were able to spend the day together. i am very grateful for this lady. she helps me so much and is a great example to me. happy happy birthday and much love.

Saturday

casey's sister graduated from provo college on sat. she graduated with high honors and she even spoke. she did a wonderful job and very proud of her and what she accomplished.

Sunday

sunday came and we were back in oak city to hear dallin's mission report. he did a wonderful job and some amazing experiences he shared. he was a great missionary but we are happy he is home. after the family get together we went over to the park so that the girls could play. of course they had fun. we always have such a good time when we go to casey's parents. we had a busy week but we had a blast.

Monday

we started our week off by having the durfey memorial day baseball/ kickball game and BBQ. i did more of the cheering then the actual playing but it looked like casey enjoyed it. addy had fun playing at the playground with grandma and stephanie.

Tuesday

This was the day we had been looking forward to. casey's brother dallin came home from serving his mission in tacoma, washington. We went and picked him up from the airport and then when down to oak city to hang out for a few days. casey and i thought we would be funny since he had never seen addy we would make a sign that said " hi i'm addy i'm your niece". addy liked the sign she just didn't like the wait.

we are so happy that he is home. Addy is starting to get use to him and play with him a little. she tries to act shy but we all know that the shy act doesn't last long.

we were able to spend two days in oak city and just hang out. we went bowling and had so much fun. addy loved it! she even got to do a little bowling with grandma fin. with addy helping grandma they beat me. i'm a little embarassed of my bowling skills. i thought i was better then that. oh well it was all in the name of fun.

i thought i would just fill everyone in on what we have been up to. we have been outside playing. addy has fallen in love with everything that has to do with the great outdoors. one of her favorite things is to jump on the trampoline. the only problem with this is that she likes to tease us. she gets really close to the edge and then runs away and laughs. she thinks she is so funny:) tonight it was so nice that we were throwing the baseball around she was laughing and runny around our legs and then she started running into the road. at 18 months she already knows how to push my buttons. but its so easy to forgive her. she also likes to collect rocks and chase bugs around. she has discovered potato bugs. she followed one around today for a half hour. by the end i felt bad for the bug so i put it into the dirt to set it free.
we also have lots of exciting things coming up in the next few weeks. on tuesday casey's brother dallin is coming home from his mission. he has been serving in washington state. we are really excited to see him. we have been showing addy his picture so she can recognize him. well that's what we are hoping. next saturday casey's sister melissa is graduating and we are very proud of her! then on june third it will be our three year wedding anniversary. it seems like we just got married. well lots of fun summer things to come. i get excited just thinking about it.

addy had a couple of firsts this week. she had her first dress-up session. i knew it was going to happen soon she loves going through her clothes and throwing them around the closet. :)

and this off the shoulder number was all her. i looked over the other morning and she was sporting this look. almost a wardrobe malfunction. ha ha

her other first was running through the sprinklers with her uncle sean. they always seem to find the trouble.

i love seeing her reaction to things for the first time. she always surprises me. she is fearless! i'm very grateful for the joy she brings to our family.

sun. morn we woke up and addy got her gardening tools and a fancy new dress and the easter bunny got the parents a little something too. the grandparents were really kind to addy as well. she has a lot of new things to keep her busy. it was a great day.

first i will inform all that kendall h. durfey ( my bro.) received his mission call today. he is going to the lubbock, texas mission. english speaking. he goes to the mtc july 8th. he is excited and we are very happy for him.:) i took pics but i'm too lazy to get them from my camera so maybe another time.

lets move on to the picnic. so i thought i would be the best mom and have a picnic yesterday with addy. she loves outside and eating so why not combine them. well a good idea in theory but not so much when you have a 17 month old who will not eat cause playing is calling her name. she took one bite of her sandwich and then she played in the yard til finally i dragged her into the house to finish her lunch. i have a feeling that this is how our summer is going to go. she will never want to come inside. oh well at least i will get some sun.

today as i spent the whole day hanging out with casey and addy i couldn't help but think how lucky i am to be a wife and mother. i have the greatest husband and the most amazing daughter. i am eternally grateful to my father in heaven for my sweet family. so i thought i would share some of the things i love about both of them. i love that casey is my best friend! he makes me laugh constantly. an example of this is when we were at wal mart recently he saw michael jackson's #1 hits cd and had to get it. well we started playing it in the car and he was singing and dancing (well his dancing) and told me when he hears this song he wants to be wearing roller skates and dancing. ha ha how great is that. i wish i could really see that. what can i say about addy she entertains me all day. some of her new things that she likes doing is wearing shoes. she does not care who's shoes they are or how big they are she will put them on and stomp around the house. I say stomp because she likes to high step around the house. its so funny. you have to see it to really enjoy it. she is learning new words everyday. this week we are working on please and thank you. she has mastered thank you but when you ask her to say please she gets this huge smile on her face and she bats her eyes at you. i love how smart and curious she is. she is always wanting to be involved so she can figure things out. my most favorite thing she does right now is whenever i pick her up to give her loves she pats me on the back like i do to her when i hug her. i love it! it just brightens my day when she does it.

Nursery fun!

on sunday casey and i were asked to meet with a member of the bishopric. i had no idea what for since we have are nice little calling on the activities committee. well we went in and casey thought for sure i was getting a new calling but little did we know that they were making a third nursery in the ward and we were the lucky ones to be called as the teachers. yes it really happened. thats what i keep telling myself at least. after thinking about this for a few days i'm surprisingly feeling ok about it. first off addy gets to go to nursery 2 months earlier then she would so we don't have to have throw downs in the middle of sunday school anymore and we are only going to be teaching three little ones for right now. since i have taught nursery before i know how things go but casey has never served in the primary before so its a whole new adventure for him. its going to be fun to see how addy does with all the kids i'm hoping she won't be the one who fights and won't share. lets keep our fingers crossed or at least hope she will learn something.:)

this weekend we were able to take a trip down to spend sometime with casey's family. Addy got spoiled by the grandparents. she just gave them a look and they were down on the floor playing with her or giving her lots of treats.:) Addy also got to see lots of animals. Cats, dogs, ducks, and cows. She was lovin it. except she likes to see them through a fence or a window. She is like her mom that way. don't get too close. we got to see tyler, shayla, and cousin brooklyn. she loved playing with her but wanted to love her a little too much.

About a week ago i heard that kenny chesney was coming to utah. I told casey about it and he said oh you should get tickets. I just laughed but then i heard that miranda lambert, lady antebellum, and sugarland were all coming. then i got excited but knew that casey would not go because he hates i mean hates sugarland! so i talked stephanie and my sister-in-law amanda into going! so on july 23rd i will be there jamming with rest of the crazy fans!! I'm really excited i have not been to a concert in years.

This is Addy's valentine's crown that grandma d. made for her.

So i thought i would post a few pics of addy on valentine's day. We had a great day. I made breakfast for the whole fam and then addy handed out her cards to those we hadn't already sent out. Casey bought me some jewelry but it was back ordered so i'll tell you about it when i get it. But i'm still excited and very grateful for a thoughtful husband. We had dinner in our room with addy so a very romantic ending to our day!

Addy had a potty break at the zoo so she thought she would catch up on her reading!

Last weekend we decided we were going to the zoo! Casey's parents and sister came up and my family tagged along to see addy's first zoo trip. It was a big hit. Addy loved it! She only got scared a few times. Casey acted like a little kid too. He just couldn't get enough of it. Addy loved the Giraffes and the penguins. This trip was a success i'm happy to report and Addy can't wait t to go back soon.

Addy attended her first soccer game tonight. It was her aunt Emily's game and she did really well. She ran around on the grass and tried to eat it(addy not emily). It started getting a little chilly so she put her blanket on to keep warm. I think she really enjoyed herself. She got to see her grandma and grandpa finlinson too!
